Puppetmongers

Brick Bros. Circus

Grades K to 8 | max 250
Available February 29 to March 11, 2016

Guaranteed to stimulate imaginations and spark creative thinking, the Brick Bros. Circus is a complete, miniature one-ring circus, performed by highly trained building bricks in itty bitty costumes. See the acrobatic Bildovitch Family, the breathtaking Madame Brikaskova, the amazing Brick Contortionist and much much more! This inventive play delights audiences of all age groups, bringing the world of play, creativity and performance to life, brick by brick by brick.

Walidad the Grass Cutter

Grades 4 to 8 | max 250
Available April 18 – 29, 2016
Requires a raised stage

Based on their own travels and observations in Iran, in 1976 and 2004, Puppetmongers introduce a stunningly beautiful world of imaginative experience while showing an ancient culture adapting to the modern world. This is the retelling of a classic Mid-Eastern tale of a poor and peaceful grass cutter whose generosity inadvertently draws him into a world of powerful people and high finance. The play is performed with delicately carved rod marionettes and delightful visual effects inspired by traditional Persian street performance. This is puppet theatre for the older grades.
