IDEAS

success_header

Educators today recognize that a new model of teaching and different types of learning are needed for students to meet the challenges of a world increasingly driven by technology, information and the need for more sustainable living.

Our teams of interdisciplinary artists are developing programs that support learning environments that foster creative, critical problem solving and global thinking applied to pressing issues such as climate change, equity and equality in times of economic disruption and mass migration while also addressing the need for nurturing self care.

The following 7 videos are examples of remarkable interdisciplinary collaboration projects inspired by big ideas that have taken place in various schools across the GTA. Many of these involved the entire school community and/or specific grades with MITS performing artists and visual artists from Inner City Angels as well as guest artists.

Our collaborative projects are supported by teacher candidates from York University, Ryerson University ECE candidates and, University of Toronto Medical students.
